Take your future
Into your own hands

BURSARY REQUIREMENTS

The main aim of the Boeta Foundation is to offer a perspective on a bright future for the youngsters of the coloured community of Ocean View by helping in the investments needed for further educational plans. High school, college and university plans might sometimes be impossible because of all the extra needs or just the impossibility to apply for an official bursary no matter what reason.

The Boeta Foundation wants to offer youngsters of Ocean View a chance to follow further education and so accompany them on their future study program by means of bursary or commitment in other study costs.

The following procedure items must be stated. The maximum cost of a bursary is 35.000 ZAR. Study fees that override this cost will cause  students to find a way to pay the additional fee by themself. Bursaries might contain study fees, school fees, books and possible stationary. Additional travel fees can be given to the students, according to the standars of the Local Boeta Council, but only if students come and collect it themself on the fixed student moments. In the end, the Belgian Board will decide who gets a bursary, according to available funds and fixed criteria.

Students are expected to be leading examples in the community and show other students the benefits of a good study-work balance. Students are obliged to help out on fundraising events and are expected to voluntary help out with the Soup Kitchen on a regular base.

All students need to communicate about their grade and study life on a monthly base to the president of the Belgian Board.
